Rain finally stopped, but just for the day...More rain tonight. ππ
So, got as much mowing of weeds as I could. But I ran into some issues. π
This is actually a bad pic comparison, too far away to see how much there was....but the other pics of thistles shows size and density, it was all just so...
The forms on the website wouldn't load properly. Emailed for the form and that's what she gave me. π€·π½ββοΈ
Guess it's more reason to get rid of more sheep!
UCDavis, $44 per test. And needs sires tested to be able to compare to. So, $88 one sire, $132 in this case, to test against 2 sires. And one is sold, so couldn't test to him. But just one is enough, since it's only between 2 possible sires.
Neogen is $21 per test and they already had the two...
:th
Need to find a usa based lab for parentage! $17 in postage alone for 1 sample! Plus you have to declare it, since it's going to Canada. Mailman was so annoyed with me.
My picture printer broke. Ugh. So had to order pics. Need to order more samplers to be able to test all the lambs I've...
Samplers came in, 3 days late. Got the ewe's samples and they're going out tomorrow. We'll know who the sire is & codon soon and then decide to register and keep or sell her. Sold the mom, Eloise, but have so many sheep. Idk. It's so hard to downsize...
Floating around the mail line.
Removed the test ewe and left her behind at barn. Everyone else, including last lamb n mom, have moved to the new pasture. In the rain. Ick.
Haven't seen any limping lambs, so that broken legged ram must be fine now. The numbers match up.
Got everyone their next cdt. Some refused to follow the flock and I had to hunt them down.
Decided not to let them back out and argue with them tomorrow. So, moved them all with the 4 suicidal...
I have a new spotted ram lined up!
Magnemite will be posted for sale soon. Still keeping his son to continue on.
His grandsire is my ramling, Voltorb, by Oreo. Rest looks unrelated to mine.
He'll be arriving in autumn.
I forgot to add the text.
Banded tail yesterday, forgot to bring the tag with me, so doing that today. I'll move them out when everyone is moved to the new pasture Tuesday!
Bought more CDT and syringes for Monday's vaccine day. If samplers come in Monday, then I'll move everyone on Tuesday. Then catch the left over lambs for their CDT individually, as they'll be too far from the barn to round them all up again.
Dumbos still acting normally.
Still raining...
